First post and its a plugin and a simple one at that. But as a tool it fills a need that Ive had for a long, long while. So instead of looking up thing on a webpage or doing the math on a calculator. I made a plugin that converts note values to milliseconds
It takes the projects tempo and calculates note values into milliseconds. You select the note value you are looking for and it displays the straight, dotted + triplet value in milliseconds.
The obvious use is for delays that dont have tempo sync. But if you feel an urge to get real nerdy then set compressor attacks with it, reverb pre-delays or anything that says milliseconds. Depending on the source material and the plugin thats doing the processing? It might make for a pleasant difference.
