Dan Worall made a great video on how to introduce a Mid/Side Phase Change with an All Pass Filter. Either with TDR SlickEQ GE or Reapers ReaEQ plus two Mid/Side processors. Its a neat little trick to carve out a hole in the center of a mix and also to ensure a better mono compatibility. Doesnt work with all mixes but its a nifty little extra tool you can use.
But instead of using three plugins with the Reaper standard plugins. I figured why cant you just use one and this is it. Its called Phase Value cause it alters the phase of the audio in a valuable manner plus its also a great album by Phil Collins. As per most JSFX-plugins the UI is rather basic. You get a choice of processing the Mid or the Sides, the frequency plus the Bandwidth of that frequency. Atop this paragraph you can watch Dans video explaining the concept.
Now I didnt even code this one but it was as per my suggestion that we did so on a livecoding session at IDDQDs channel. So Arya Afshar (IDDQD) did the coding and Leandro Faccinetti (leafac) helped. Still in a prototype stage but I figured, if someone has a use for it. Why not publish ayy…
